Where the money grows
Farm-game publishers sometimes run partner (affiliate) programmes. Say a review's button holds one of their links, and you register for the game after pressing it: the publisher may then pay Tractor & Twine a commission. You are not charged anything extra.
What it can't buy
- A tag on the line. Games earn their place through the checks on How we review, the same for every farm.
- A kinder verdict. Who a game suits and who should look elsewhere reads the same with or without a partner link.
- A recommendation. If we'd send you elsewhere, a commission won't change our mind.
- An early look. Publishers don't see a review before it's published.
Telling a partner link from a plain one
Only the buttons pointing at a game's official site can hold a partner link. When a button is one, a small "Partner link" label sits right under it. Every other button has a line under it saying it's a plain link. Search engines see every one of them flagged as sponsored.
Programme managers and advertisers
Write to hello@tractorandtwine.com if you run a partner programme or want to talk about advertising. A place on the line or a verdict is never part of the deal.
